Language Arts: This week we will be reading stories that focus on how people can help out their community. The reading selections for this week are Lighting Lives and Biblioburro. Students will be comparing non-fiction and fiction text this week and reading to find the author's purpose.
Math: We will be wrapping up Topic 7, Solving Problems Involving Addition and Subtraction. Students will be taking the assessment on Wednesday, Janaury 5th. We will be starting Topic 8, Working with Time and Money on Thursday, January 6th.
Social Studies: We have started our unit on People Long Ago. Students will be learning about the similarities and differences from then and now and we will be working on biographies as well.
