Week of January 31st

Language Arts:  This week we will be reading stories that focus on what makes different parts of the world different. The reading selections for this week are Alaska and Rainforest.  Both reading selections are expository text and this week and will be working on rereading to find text evidence and comparing and contrasting within text.

Math:
We will continue working through Topic 9: Numbers to 1000.  Please keep practicing math facts at home. 

Social Studies:  We will continue learning about the world around us.  Students will be learning about the continents and oceans as well as the different cultures around the world.  We will be working on map skills and even create our own edible map of the United States, during this unit!
